You get their appliances working. Build the business they call.
Own the customer relationship, from diagnosis to the final repair.
We're looking for experienced Bay Area appliance repair technicians who want to go independent. We help with setup, booking service calls, and the systems that keep work moving.
No fee to apply. About 5 to 8 minutes.
Built for the Bay Area
We back businesses across all nine Bay Area counties. This is where we know the market, the licensing, and the neighborhoods, and where we can show up in person.
- Alameda
- Contra Costa
- Marin
- Napa
- San Francisco
- San Mateo
- Santa Clara
- Solano
- Sonoma
Live outside these counties? Apply anyway and tell us where. We expand based on where strong candidates are.
Why ownership
Why owning this business is worth it.
Skill earns trust
Clear diagnosis, honest estimates, and dependable repairs give customers a reason to recommend you.
Choose your specialty
Build around the appliance types and brands you know well, with a service area you can cover reliably.
Build beyond one technician
Consistent dispatch, parts tracking, and service records can help you bring on other technicians.
The honest part
What usually makes it hard
Most people who are excellent at this work never start a company. It is rarely the work that stops them. It is everything around it.
- Pricing diagnosis, labor, parts, and return visits
- Sourcing parts and keeping customers updated
- Scheduling service calls efficiently
- Managing callbacks, warranties, and service records
What Framework does for a appliance repair business
You bring the skill and reputation. We help build everything around it.
If selected, we build a launch plan with you. It includes:
- Business setup
- Registration and insurance coordination
- Brand and website
- Customer acquisition
- Phones and service booking
- Dispatch and parts workflows
- Estimates, invoices, and bookkeeping
- Hiring and technician onboarding
The specifics depend on the business and on you. We work them out together, in writing, before anyone commits.
No fee to apply. About 5 to 8 minutes.
Apply nowWho we look for
Who is a strong candidate
We care more about your ability and ambition than whether you've started a business before.
- Professional appliance diagnosis and repair experience
- Safe work practices and clear limits on service scope
- Comfort explaining repair options to customers
- Reliable documentation and follow-through
- Desire to own a business
Licensing and eligibility
Confirm the registration, licensing, certification, and insurance requirements for the appliances and tasks you service. Refrigerant work, gas connections, and electrical or plumbing changes need specific review before they are offered.
Applicants must satisfy all applicable licensing, professional, and regulatory requirements for their field. Framework can help coordinate the process but does not grant, waive, or substitute for any license or credential.
- We put up to $25,000 into customer acquisition for each business we back.
- Framework also covers year-one setup and software costs where applicable, and works alongside you on systems, hiring, and growth.
- You own and control the company.
- Our standard structure is 7% ownership and 7% annual revenue royalties. There is no franchise fee.
- If your business becomes more valuable, our 7% becomes more valuable too.
Some regulated professions, including law practices, require a different legal structure with similar economics. We review the exact terms with you, in writing, before anyone commits.
